In blogging world like in real life, ups and downs are as permanent as they can be. Shayma Saadat from the blog - The Spice Spoon, is one friend who has supported me from the beginning and never failed to encourage and brighten my day with her generosity and friendship. She brings her multi cultural roots from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran into a beautifully written memoir style food blog, which has recently made it to the list of top 50 food websites by The Independent, UK.
So, you can imagine how thrilled I'm to be guest posting on her beautiful blog. I'm sharing a childhood favorite recipe for an easy and royal dessert made with rice and saffron called Zarda. Hope you shall enjoy it!
Gorgeous clicks and dish! Heading there.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Rosa

ReplyDeleteZarda was thefirst dessert I ever made for Akber. It was a disasterous recipe from a cookbook that called for a sugar syrup. Off to have a look at your recipe :)
ReplyDeleteSukaina my aunts always makes sugar syrup one but I find it way too sweet for my taste, so I boil the rice in sweet milk :-)

ReplyDeleteHi Kulsum! What a beautiful blog you have. Why didn't I come across it before? 101 Cookbooks referred your Paneer making and I was so so so stumped - how beautiful can Paneer making be?
ReplyDeleteWhy am I writing to you? I write a Culinary & Travel Blog and I refer to my husband there as S. In your 'About' section you have mentioned that you refer to your husband as M - and I started laughing! Then, I thought I should let you know. I have been referring to him as S for the last few posts. I hope that's not copyright infringement. S is not M, right?
Do drop in if you ever have the time and leave your suggestions. My blog is still evolving and I'm quite new to it - but want to make it visually stimulating that has a cross-border look...
Waiting for your new post!
Thank you Ishita :) he he and no its not copyright infringement! Going to check out your blog. Thanks again.
